AEGIS Consultancy was founded by a Portuguese national and English-law graduate (LLB) living in the UK — someone who has stood on both sides of this exact gap. The idea is simple: be the trusted, English-speaking presence that walks UK clients through the Portuguese journey, while the regulated specialists do the regulated work.
We are deliberately not a law firm, an estate agency or a financial adviser. We are the bridge between you and those professionals — and we are very clear about where that line sits.

Any English-law document support is a non-reserved legal service provided on an unregulated basis. This means you do not have access to the protections associated with using a regulated solicitor, such as the SRA Compensation Fund or the Legal Ombudsman.
Not a real estate agency or mediator
AEGIS does not carry out real estate mediation. We do not promote specific properties, conduct viewings, value property, or negotiate. All real estate mediation is carried out by licensed Portuguese agencies under their own AMI licence.
Not Portuguese legal, tax or immigration advice
AEGIS does not provide advice on Portuguese law, taxation or immigration. Where these are needed, we connect you with appropriately regulated and qualified Portuguese professionals, who act for you directly.
